Ever since I was a child I have been obsessed with computers and technology, I still remember the days of trying to play a single game using 10 floppy discs, the pain that was dial-up internet and the crazy AOL lady that gave me nightmares. Even though the 90’s was filled with terrors such as uncanny PlayStation FMVs and slower than slow internet connections I still look back and at it and smile as living through a era where technology never worked as intended, having to spend countless hours trying to figure out technical problems gave me the motivation, patience and knowledge to achieve what I do today.
I lived North Devon studying for most of my life gaining qualifications in Game design, Graphic communications, and other creative subjects. I then moved to Plymouth and got a degree in Illustration, after this I was stuck living back in my home town stuck in the usual post uni dead end job. I had always wanted to move to a city and was constantly told that I should get into a job helping other people with their technical difficulties so that’s what I did! Me and John made a plan so we moved to Bristol set up our business, it was a massive risk but without it Tech-Nic would have never been born.
I’m a Co-Founder of Tech-Nic who specialises in all the background details such as Design, marketing, Software and anything else that requires a splash of creativity.

Fair Prices, Better Diagnostics:
"How much will this cost?" Don't worry this question is only natural! Although for some jobs it can be difficult for us to know a price until after we run diagnostics of the problem, after which we can let you know a more accurate cost estimate.
We believe in the best possible service and thoroughness for our customers! So we may have a small diagnostic fee if you decide to not go ahead with a repair once booked in to cover time and overheads. However 90% of diagnostic work takes less than an hour, We’ll always let you know before carrying out more extensive diagnostics if required.
All diagnostic charges will be waivered if a customer decides to go ahead with repair work with TECH-NIC.
“No fix, no fee” generally means companies are less willing to risk their time diagnosing your device if the problem isn’t obvious. This means your device is more likely to be written off as “unrepairable”– which might not have been the case with us.
